Summary of Activities: Arsi University Team Visit to Serbia (November 17-21, 2025)
The Arsi University team arrived in Belgrade on November 17, 2025, where they were warmly welcomed by Marko Stajonovic and enjoyed lunch with the WEBIN (Western Balkans Institutions) team. Following that, the team departed for Krusavic, where they were hosted by Professor Ivan and Katrina from the Academy of preschool teaching and health studies in Krusavic before settling into the guest house.
The next morning, the team visited the Academy of Preschool Teaching and Health Studies. They received an insightful introduction to the staff and the institution by processor Zorica D. the president of the Academy. Later, they toured the city’s Mosaic Hall, where the mayor warmly welcomed them and shared the history of Krusavic and Serbia. The day concluded with a visit to the National Museum.
On the third day, the team presented briefings on Serbian education policy and the overall activities of the Academy of Preschool Teaching and Health Studies. The discussions highlighted the importance of educational collaborations.
The team then visited one of the preschools found in Kruševac called “Nata Veljković” preschool headed by Daliborka Živković. We have observed a hands on teaching and learning process. The team has a heartfelt appreciation to the preschool for the consensus made between the team members for further collaboration. The present made from the preschool remain memorable.
Afterwards, the delegate proceeded to the medical school in Cuprijia, 53 kilometers from Krusavic, where they witnessed the training of health professionals.
On November 21, the team departed early from Krusavic to return to Belgrade. Upon arrival, they were welcomed at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Education, where they learned about the faculty’s historical background and explored potential areas for collaboration with the Dean, Danimir Mandic, PhD and his team.
The visit culminated with a celebratory event hosted by Professor Marko, where the team attended the Slava festival with his family. They enjoyed a traditional lunch and toured historic sites in Belgrade. A final gathering with the WEBIN team over coffee marked the end of their Serbian journey.
The collaborative efforts and key contributions from Professor Marko, Professor Yahya, Professor Helena the WEBIN team, and the Academy of preschool teaching and health studies staff, including Ivan, Katrina, Aleksandr and the President Professor Zorica D. and many others made this visit truly memorable.
