Seminar on Strengthening International Collaboration Held at Arsi University

Arsi University hosted a seminar focused on enhancing international collaboration, bringing together senior officials, deans, vice deans, and department heads. The event aimed to share insights and experiences from a recent visit by Dr. Fikadu Mitiku, President of Arsi University, and Mr. Sisay Yefru, the focal person for collaboration between Arsi University and
Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), Germany.
The session began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Bonso Bude, Director of the International Relations, Research, and Partnership Directorate, who expressed his appreciation for the initiative taken by Dr. Fikadu and his team in sharing valuable experiences gained from their engagement with HSWT.
Mr. Sisay Yefru emphasized the importance of strengthening existing international partnerships and presented strategic approaches for fostering collaboration. Participants commended the transparency and commitment demonstrated by the team, gaining valuable insights from the discussions.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Fikadu urged participants to foster a culture of collaboration and enhance their knowledge and skills in systems thinking. The seminar successfully reinforced the university’s commitment to international partnership and cooperation.
