The Office of Gender at Arsi University organized a seedling plantation campaign at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science campus. This initiative, themed “Renewal through Plantation,” exclusively involved female employees of the university.
During the event, the Director of the Gender Office, W/ro Tsige Haile, shared insights into the university’s longstanding commitment to environmental sustainability. She highlighted that the tree-planting initiative began seven years ago, with the first trees now providing ample shade for the community across the campus.

W/ro Tsige emphasized the importance of nurturing the newly planted seedlings, urging participants to give them the necessary attention for proper conservation. The seedlings planted during this campaign included various species aimed at enhancing both edible plant diversity and environmental protection.
