MoU Signed Between Arsi University and Asella Town Education Office

A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Arsi University and the Asella Town Education Office, facilitated by the College of Education and Behavioral Science. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of education starting from the primary level.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Fikadu Mitiku, President of Arsi University, emphasized the university’s commitment to improving education standards. He announced that the university will provide professional supports; staff and students exchange, capacity-building training for teachers in Asella, equipping them with the necessary skills to foster a better learning environment. Dr. Fikadu also pledged to share resources that could further contribute to the enhancement of educational quality.
In response, Mr. Abiyot, Nagash, Head of the Asella Town Education Office, expressed gratitude for the university’s initiative. He underscored the importance of collaboration and committed to facilitating the training needs of teachers, ensuring a cooperative effort to uplift education quality in the town. This MoU marks a promising step towards improving educational outcomes and reflects a shared dedication to fostering a brighter future for students in Asella town.
