In a workshop held at the university’s Smart Meeting Hall, all colleges at Arsi University presented their differentiation roadmap, emphasizing the institution’s key focus areas: Agriculture, Health, Technology, and Engineering with the perspective of the University of Applied Sciences.
The session, chaired by Mr. Sisay Yifru, the chairperson of the Differentiation Roadmap Committee, aimed to unify the university communities’ understanding of the differentiation agendas. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Sisay highlighted the critical importance of this initiative in aligning academic programs with the university’s strategic goals.

Dr. Fikadu Mitiku, the president of Arsi University, officially opened the session, expressing gratitude to the differentiation committee for their efforts in organizing the discussion session. He acknowledged the hard work involved in bringing the university community together for this important dialogue.

Following the presentations from each college, evaluators provided constructive feedback on the strengths and drawbacks of the proposed roadmap. The evaluators also urged the colleges to incorporate suggestions for improvement, ensuring that all aspects of the differentiation focus areas are adequately addressed.






The presenters appreciated the evaluators’ insights and committed to addressing the concerns raised during the discussions. The session was well-attended, featuring university top officials, college deans, department heads, and faculty members, all engaged in the collaborative process of refining the differentiation roadmap.
