Arsi University successfully conducted its 9th National Research Conference at the main campus meeting hall on April 24–25, 2026, under the grand theme: “Harnessing Applied Research and Multidisciplinary Innovation for Sustainable Development,” integrating Agriculture, Health, and Digital Technology.
The conference brought together high-level officials from various governmental and non-governmental organizations, researchers from different higher education institutions, community representatives, as well as Arsi University faculty and students. The event was blessed by Aba Gadas and country elders, followed by the speech of Dr. Hailu Fikadu, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at Arsi University, who presented the objectives of applied and multidisciplinary research.



In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Fikadu Mitiku, President of Arsi University, acknowledged the participation of all guests and emphasized the dedication of paper presenters in contributing to this special and scholarly event.
During the two-day program, over 32 research papers were presented across four syndicated rooms, followed by constructive and academic discussions on each of the presented titles. The conference concluded with a general discussion at the preliminary session, and a certification ceremony was held to recognize the various bodies that contributed to the successful completion of the conference.








This conference strengthened collaboration among researchers and stakeholders, promoting innovation and research outcomes that support sustainable development across key sectors.
