Arsi University Celebrates a Decade of Achievement with Colourful Anniversary Parade

Arsi University marked its 10th anniversary with a vibrant and celebratory parade, attended by prominent figures from federal, regional, and zonal administrations, as well as representatives from industries, higher education institutions, and other stakeholders.
Dr. Fikadu Mitiku, the current president of Arsi University, extended a warm welcome to all participants, expressing his gratitude for their presence in celebrating this historic milestone.
The event showcased the university’s significant achievements in the areas teaching and learning, research and community service, university – industry linkage, collaboration and partnership, leadership and governance over the past ten years.
The ceremony featured addresses from notable individuals, including Dr. Tola Beriso, the founding president of Arsi University and current head of the Oromia Education Bureau, and Sheik Haji Ibrahim Tufa, President of the Ethiopian Islamic Supreme Affairs Council, who served as the guest of honour. Dr. Duguma Adugna, former president of Arsi University, also shared his congratulations. All speakers lauded the university’s progress and impact over the past ten years.
The anniversary event concluded with the recognition of individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to Arsi University since its establishment.
