A team of Arsi University College of health science has participated in Validation workshop Organized by EMPRESS project at Jimma University on November 26, 2025.
EMPRESS project is a collabarative project of Warwick-JU universitities in collaboartion with four Ethiopian Universities namely Jimma, Arsi, Wolkite and Arbaminch Universities.
The workshop is aimed on adapting and integrating mhGAP into preservice health professional education through online training platform.
This initiative aims to enhance the mental health competencies of future non-specialist health professionals by implementing an online training program based on the WHO Mental Health Gap Action Programme Intervention Guide (mhGAP-IG) across four Ethiopian Collaborating universities.
The team of Arsi university delegation is led by Dr Melese Gezahegn, EMPRESS project Coordinator at Arsi University.
