First International Conference, December 15-16, 2017

Theme: Enhancing Sustainable Development through Innovative Research and Community Services

Arsi University is going to convene its first international conference under the theme indicated above on December 15-16, 2017 in Asella, Oromiya, Ethiopia. Interested individuals can send their research papers that are related to the theme taking into consideration the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- no poverty, zero hunger, good health and wellbeing, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequality, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions, and partnerships for the SDGs. Best practices and challenges in using research and community services for meeting SDGs are given priority.

Important Deadlines:

Submission of abstract: October 30, 2017, 5:00 pm (GMT+3)

Notification of selected abstracts: November 10, 2017

Submission of full paper: November 20, 2017

Notification of selected papers and provision of invitation letters: November 30, 2017

Important notes:

  • The abstract should be in MsWord and maximum of 300 words and contains the title of the paper, name and full address of the author(s)- institution, email, fax, telephone
  • Full paper of selected abstract should not exceed 20 pages, 1.5 line spacing
  • Arsi University pays honorarium for selected presenters.
