College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences college possesses a semi-intensive dairy farm established by a Swedish government in 1967 GC. The dairy farm is currently comprises about 275 cross breed Holstein Friesian dairy cows having different blood levels ranging from 62-99% and 53 boran heifers for cross breeding. Now days the farm is producing about 700 liters of milk per day and distributing to the surrounding community. The farm has planned to produce and multiply cross breed dairy heifers to disseminate to the surrounding farming community and be able to produce sustainable income to the Arsi University. In the future the farm has the plan to produce and provide crossbred dairy heifers to the surrounding farming community.Seemore
